Just upgraded to 4.5 on my BB 8310!!! Everything went smoothly and no mess ups!!! Thank you Eveek guys and gals for all your help!!! I love this site!!! Keep up the good work!!!

I have uninstalled everything, reinstalled the desktop, downloaded the upgrade for the 8700 as directed. installed the 4.5 OS on my pc...opened desktop manager and it still won't upgrade from 4.2 to 4.5. Doesn't find it, doesn't load it and tells me that there are no available upgrades at this time. All the software from all carriers use the same exe and I got rid of the vendor file. Nothing...what that heck am I doing wrong. BB is still 4.2....thanks

Are you running the 4.5 Desktop manager?

No prob, thats most lickley the problem. If your using the version of desktop manager that came with your device thats why it wont find any ugrades or additional apps. Good luck! Let me know if it works

I cant find 4.5 for 8830, only 4.2

It was for mine. I'm trying to fix my media player issue that came along with *.101
